Why sign up for Lunchbox? Lunchbox is a fun and easy alternative to waking up early to pack a lunch. It provides your child a healthy, high-quality lunch without the hassle on your part.
Who is allowed to sign up for lunchbox? We will offer 50 slots for Lunchbox to start up this business. Since Lunchbox is a new business, we are keeping it small. At this time, Lunchbox is available to primary, lower elementary, upper elementary, and adolescent students. Based on the success of this business, we may be able to expand our business next year!
How much does Lunchbox cost? Lunchbox is an annual contract with a monthly cost of $100 each month, offered September through May of this school year. Your child will be provided with a high quality, homemade, healthy meal in a well-proportioned bento box each day of the school year.
Is there a payment plan? Yes, we offer a payment plan on a monthly basis. The monthly cost is $100, good for delicious, high-quality, homemade lunches each school day of the month! This monthly payment is due on the 1st of each month and is considered late on the 5th. There will be a late fee of $1 each day that the payment is late.
How will my child receive this lunch? A healthy, high quality, homemade lunch will be delivered to your child's classroom by an adolescent each day by 8:00am. Each lunchbox contains a main course, vegetable and fruit and is served with an ice pack to ensure the quality of the meal is maintained.
Do you provide any vegetarian options or options for students with allergies? We're sorry, but we do not currently provide any alternative lunches for vegetarians or students with allergies. Since we are a new business, we would like to get the hang of things before serving students with special menu requests. Thank you for your understanding! Do you offer discounts? We, the adolescent class, fund our own travel, experiential learning experiences and charitable giving. We are committed to working hard to provide healthy, high-quality lunches for your child, but are unable to provide discounts at this time. Lunchbox is a limited business venture and we thank you for your understanding. We appreciate your business and look forward to working with each of you!
Can we sign up for just one day? Week? Month? Our business model is set on providing daily lunches, not periodical lunches due to the complexities of being a new business. As a young business we are dependent on consistency and hope you understand that at this time we are unable to provide daily, weekly, or monthly plans.
What is the signup deadline? September 4th is the signup deadline for Lunchbox for the year! We will begin serving our healthy, homemade, high quality lunches on Tuesday, September 8th.
Do parents have to provide a lunchbox? No, the lunchbox is provided by the adolescent program! Each lunchbox is identical and comes with separate compartments for entree, veggies, and fruit.
Do we need to provide anything for daily lunches? Primary students will be offered milk at school. Other students are responsible for keeping a water bottle at school, which will serve as their drink for lunch. We will take care of the rest!
Is there a contract to be signed for Lunchbox? Yes, there is. Our business model requires us to have a signed contract with each parent for each individual student who participates. Payments are made monthly and late fees of $1 each day will be assessed after the 5th of the month.
What if my child is dissatisfied with Lunchbox? With our healthy, high quality, homemade meals, it's hard to believe that your child wouldn't love our lunches. However, in the event that your child is not satisfied, after the first two weeks of Lunchbox (September 8th through the 21st), if the student and/or parent is dissatisfied with our quality or service, parents will need to offer a written notice that they will not be participating any longer. The September payment of $100 is nonrefundable, however the contract will be null and void for the remainder of the year. We hope to redeem you as a customer in the future!
What if my child doesn't like the menu item or misses a lunch? While we will work to provide lunches that accommodate most students, if there is a particular item that your child does not approve of, you are, of course, welcome to send him or her with their own lunch. However, we will not be able to provide any refunds for missed lunches. Since our lunches are so delicious and nutritious, we hope you won't want to miss a single day!
Does the menu change? To keep our healthy, high quality, homemade meals fresh throughout the year, our menu will change seasonally. We will be surveying our students throughout September and early October to understand what your child would like to see on the menu in the future.
